Product Description

Compiled by Chris Warner. SEC Sports Quotes Compendium is the quick compilation of two previously popular SEC sports quotes tomes–“SEC Sports Quotes & SEC Sports Quotes II.” This book is a “best of” combination of those two, along with a host of new quotes from coaches, players and observers of the nation’s toughest athletic conference. The book’s twelve chapters in alphabetical order beginning with Alabama and ending with Vanderbilt contain many classic adages, aphorisms, quips, maxims and pronouncements from the league’s biggest stars–both past and present. This unique amalgam of sporting wit and wisdom typifies the South’s deep-rooted fascination and visceral connection with sports and documents for posterity the sometimes inspiring, the sometimes provocative, but always, heartfelt words of the sporting figures that have shaped, and continue to shape, popular sports culture in the Deep South. *This book makes a great gift for both the casual or die-hard SEC fan.
